How to erase something
Add a photo, then paint over the thing you want gone. Cover it completely and go a little past its edges, including its shadow. Press Erase and the area is filled in to match the rest of the picture. Erase in a few smaller passes for big objects, and use Undo if a fill does not look right.
Two ways to fill
AI fill uses MI-GAN, a compact open inpainting model released under the MIT licence. It understands scenes, so it can rebuild a wall behind a person or the beach behind a bin. Pattern fill needs no download at all: it searches the rest of the photo for matching texture and copies it in, which works well on sky, grass, sand, water and small blemishes.
Private by design
Most object removers upload your photo to a server. This one works entirely in your browser. The AI model downloads once and then runs on your graphics card or processor, even offline. Your photos, and what you erase from them, never leave this device.
Questions
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Paint with your finger, switch to Move to scroll around a zoomed photo, and use Undo if you slip. Very large photos are slower on phones.
Will it change the rest of my photo?
No. Only the area you paint is replaced. Everything else keeps its original pixels, at full size.
