Your photos never leave this device

A free photo editor that stays on your device

Open one photo or a whole set, crop and fine-tune them, add text and stickers, and save each one at the right size for Instagram, X, LinkedIn or YouTube.

or drop them anywhere on this page. JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC, as many as you like.

How it works

Open one photo or a whole set. They line up in a strip above the canvas, so you can move between them without opening anything again. Every change is kept as a list of instructions rather than baked into the picture, which means you can go back and change the crop, soften a filter or move a caption at any time. Nothing is written until you save, and your original files are never changed.

Every edit can be undone with Ctrl Z, including pasting a look onto all your photos at once. Hold Compare, or the \ key, to see the photo as it was.

Cropping, straightening and adjusting

Pick a shape such as square, 4:5 portrait or 9:16 for stories, or crop freely, then drag the frame into place. Turn and flip in quarter steps, and use Straighten to level a tilted horizon; the photo is enlarged just enough that no empty corners show.

Adjust has exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, warmth, tint, saturation, vibrance, sharpness and vignette. Highlights and shadows work on the bright and dark parts separately, so you can bring back a sky or open up a face in shadow. Filters are starting points that sit on top of your adjustments, and the strength slider tones them down.

Text, shapes and stickers

Add text in a ready-made style, then change the font, weight, size, colour, alignment, outline, shadow and background box. The colour row offers the main colours found in your photo, so captions match the picture. Shapes and stickers include arrows, badges with your own words, highlighter marks, circles for pointing things out, and speech bubbles.

Drag anything to move it. Guides appear and it snaps into line when it reaches the centre, the edges or another layer; hold Alt to place it freely. Pull a corner to resize, use the round handle to rotate, and reorder layers from the toolbar or the Layers list.

Sizes for every platform

Export ready-made sizes for an Instagram post, portrait or story, an X post, a LinkedIn post, a YouTube thumbnail or a Facebook cover, or type your own. Choosing a size sets the crop on the current photo to the same shape, so what you see is what you get. Photos with a different shape are either trimmed to fill the frame or fitted inside it with a border in the colour you choose.

Save as JPG, PNG or WebP. The size of the finished file is shown before you save, and you can ask for every file to stay under a limit, such as the cap on a job site or a forum. Saved photos never carry location, camera or date details.

Editing many photos at once

Get one photo right, open All photos and copy its edits. You choose what comes along: the adjustments and filter, the crop shape, and the text and stickers, which is handy for a logo or a caption that belongs on every picture. Paste onto the photo you are looking at or onto all of them in one step, then save the whole set as a single zip.

Keyboard shortcuts

  • Ctrl Z undoes, Ctrl Shift Z or Ctrl Y redoes
  • T adds text, Ctrl D duplicates the selected layer and Delete removes it
  • Arrow keys nudge the selected layer, with Shift in bigger steps, and Esc lets go of it
  • [ and ] send a layer backward or bring it forward
  • + and - zoom, 0 fits the photo to the view
  • Page Up and Page Down move to the previous or next photo

Questions

Will it open photos from my iPhone?

Yes. HEIC photos open alongside JPG, PNG and WebP. The first HEIC photo takes a moment longer while the decoder loads.

Is there a size limit?

Very large photos, above about 40 megapixels, are reduced to that size when they open so that phones and older computers keep up. Editing happens on a lighter preview and the full photo is only used when you save.

Can I edit RAW files?

Not yet. Export a JPG or HEIC from your camera or phone first, then open that here.
