What goes on an invoice
Your business name and contact details, who you’re billing, a unique invoice number, the date issued and the date payment is due, a line for each product or service with quantity and price, any tax, and the total. Many countries also require your tax or VAT number; add it under your business name.
Tax and discounts
Give each line its own tax rate, so taxed and untaxed items can share one invoice. A discount, as a percentage or a fixed sum, comes off before tax and is shared across the lines in proportion to their value, which is how most accounting software does it. Each tax rate gets its own line in the totals.
Private and free
The invoice is built and turned into a PDF right in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and the PDF carries no watermark. Save drafts to come back to them on this device, and press New invoice to start the next one with the number already moved on.
