Choose where the numbers go and how they read, from a plain 1 to Page 1 of 12. Skip the cover or contents pages and start counting from any number, so the numbering matches your document.
Watermarks
Stamp DRAFT on work in progress, CONFIDENTIAL on private documents or COPY on a scanned original. Pick a single large diagonal mark, a straight one, or a repeated pattern that is hard to crop out.
Headers and footers
Add a line of text at the top or bottom of every page, such as a company name, a case number or a date.
