Requirements differ by country and by organisation, so check the official list from your tax office, landlord, lender or school as well.

Click the text of an item to open a note under it, such as where a document is kept or a reference number. Add items of your own at the bottom. Print as PDF gives a tidy copy with your ticks and notes, handy to take to an appointment.
Getting documents ready
