Why Markdown for AI
When you paste a web page or a PDF into ChatGPT or Claude, hidden layout, menus and broken lines come along with it. Markdown keeps only the structure that matters: headings, lists, emphasis, links and tables. The assistant understands the document better, and the prompt is shorter.
What it converts
PDF: text PDFs become headings, paragraphs and lists, with hyphenated line ends joined back together. Scanned PDFs need scanned PDF to text first. Word: headings, bold and italic, lists, tables and links. Web pages and emails: copy any part and paste it here. HTML files: scripts and styles are dropped and the content is kept.
