Captions burned into your video

Add SRT or VTT subtitles to a video for good, in a style made for Reels, TikTok and Shorts, where most people watch with the sound off.

or drop it here · MP4, MOV, WebM

The video and subtitles are processed on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

Why burn captions in

Subtitle files only show when the player supports them and the viewer turns them on. Burned-in captions are part of the picture, so they show everywhere: in feeds, in stories, on muted autoplay and when the video is reshared. Choose a style, check it on the preview at a few moments, then save a new MP4.

Questions

Where do I get subtitles?

If your video has speech, the subtitle generator listens to it on your device and saves an SRT file. Open that file here. You can also paste subtitles from any editor, in SRT or WebVTT format.

The captions are early or late. What do I do?

Use Shift timing. A positive number such as 0.5 shows every caption half a second later; a negative number such as -0.5 shows them earlier.

Which style should I pick?

Clean, white with a dark outline, reads on almost any picture. Boxed puts each line on a dark band for busy footage. Bold pop is the big, bright look common on short videos, and Brand uses your colour from Your kittybin. For vertical videos, Middle or a larger size keeps captions clear of the app’s buttons.

What format is the new video?

Current Chrome, Edge and Safari save an MP4 with H.264 video and the original sound re-encoded as AAC, which every app accepts. Other browsers save a WebM.
