One letter, a page for everyone

Write your letter with fields such as {{First name}}, add your spreadsheet, and save one PDF with a page per person or a separate PDF for each.

The first row holds the column names. Paste from a spreadsheet or open a CSV file.

Put a field in double curly brackets, such as {{First name}}. Add a fallback after a bar: {{Title|Friend}}. {{Today}} gives the date. Use **bold** for bold text.

How mail merge works

Each row of your spreadsheet becomes one letter. Wherever the letter has a field in curly brackets, such as {{First name}}, the value from that column is put in. Field names ignore capitals and spaces, so {{first name}}, {{First Name}} and {{first_name}} all match a First name column. A field shows in red when there is no column with that name.

One PDF or many

One PDF puts every letter on its own page, ready to print in one go. A zip with a PDF per row is better for sending each person their own file. Name the files with fields too, such as Letter - {{First name}} {{Last name}}, and duplicate names get a number added.

Letters, certificates, labels and more

Use it for payment reminders, offer letters, parent letters, event invitations or thank-you notes. For award certificates with a decorative border, use the certificate maker, which takes names from a spreadsheet in the same way. If you have saved your name and address in Your kittybin, they can head every letter.
