How to write the outline
Start with one line beginning with # for the title slide, and put a subtitle on the line below it. Each line beginning with ## starts a new slide, and lines beginning with a dash become bullet points. Indent a bullet with two spaces to put it under the one above. You can also paste a plain outline, where every line that is not indented becomes a slide title.
Themes and fitting text
Pick a theme and an accent colour, or use your brand colour from Your kittybin. Long titles wrap and slides with many bullets shrink their text to fit, but a good slide still has only a few short points. Speaker notes, lines starting with >, are kept in the outline and not shown on the slides.
Presenting and saving
Present opens the slides full screen in this tab: use the arrow keys, Space or a click to move on, and Escape to finish. PDF is best for sharing and printing. PowerPoint saves a .pptx file with the theme as each slide’s background and every line of text in its own editable text box, so you can open it in PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides and keep working.
